LEGOS!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qsWFFuYZYI

This brings back memories of the old 8-bit video games such as Pong and Super Mario Brothers. The video was made by Tomas Redigh. The whole video is done with legos using stop motion techniques with original music by Dan Larsson. The video has about 4,000,000 views, its amazing how something so simple with a catchy beat can grab our attention. The swedish duo edited hours of footage into this animation. 1500 to be exact.

Likelihood of Being Sold- Consumers cannot afford it in this economic depression. And if we do get out of this depression there will not be a need for it.

Write down your ideas...

If you ever have an idea write in on a piece of paper and save it. Then go back to it from time to time and think about how you can elaborate on it. Once you get there, bring it to life and see if you can make what you think of a reality.

Carla Gannis Post-Thoughts

What did I think about Carla Gannis' Presentation? Well I thought she was very thorough and very personable with what she was addressing. She is very well established in design and has much information to give out and share with the world not only through her work but also through her speeches. The biggest thing that stood out to me when she spoke was that she said that everything was original. Do no take something from someone exactly and put your name to it, but you can take someone's idea and work on it from there. Try to evolve it and enhance it to be your very own original project. She is very familiar with motion graphics as I was able to tell from her flash presentation. She finished off her presentation with a couple of game designs that can be found on different web sites that she produced. Some of them weren't even for a company, or the job she worked for. Some were actually just based on things she was interested in that she did in her free time. That being said she taught me a valuable lesson: you should do things that make you happy as well as your job. Whatever is your passion to just make it your job, do it for yourself too. Make sure you create things that aren't just for a company but also your own work of art.

Ripple table responds to touch with lights

Ripple table responds to touch with lights
Posted by hipstomp

This LED Coffee table contains 480 super-bright white LEDs and optical sensors. This lights up wherever an object touches it. It ranges from 1,500 to 2,100 dollars depending on the size. They say it would be a big hit in a bar and I agree. It is made by teamwork between Because We Can and Evil Mad Science.

Sprint!

Seth explains that you cannot always sprint, but it is sometimes good to do it regularly. As horrible as it may seem sometimes when you have a short deadline for an assignment or maybe you even have to do things all over because your boss doesn't like them; sometimes it is actually good to have these things because when you sprint, you sometimes produce your best work.

LIVESCRIBE is now

Core 77 Blog- Click Here

LiveScribe is a "pen-and-paper duo" that can record audio and has basic computing functions. The audio records what was being said while you are taking notes, so you can go back to it at anytime. The computing functions include announcing the time as well as doing some general calculations. These are all done through an analog system. Here is an example given by Tom MacTavish, a professor of IIT Institute of Design.

Cosentino turns minerals and woods into truly unique surfaces

Here's an unusual texture made from rare minerals, semi-precious stones, and petrified wood. It's very interesting because it is very innovative. I feel many people would buy this based on the fact that it is so different. Similar to granite but different.
